Our names are David Klingberg, Wendy Osborn and Tabitha Dziego (Handler). Our love of dogs has seen us involved in the dog world in one way or another for most of our lives.
Shokuma Akitas have been South Australia's no 1 Akita Kennel for many years.
With limited breeding and showing Shokuma Akitas have owned/bred 17 Australian Champion Akitas with more to come in the future.
We owned and showed South Australias FIRST Grand Champion Akita.
We also had the huge honour of the Japan Kennel Club using one of our Akitas in their Breed Standard for the American Akita. (Ch Kyooma Midas Touch)
Our achievements include: In excess of Three Hundred Best of Breed awards, Numerous Group/Show awards - Many achieved at a time when shows averaged around 25 Akita entries.
We had Australia's Number One Ranked Akita for 1998, SA's first Grand Champion Akita, Adelaide Royal Show "Best in Group" winner 1998 and SA's Top Spitz dog for 98 & 99.
Adelaide Royal Show is the premium dog show event in South Australia and averages around 3500 dog entries. Our achievements at this event alone, include:
